Creating a website for your show, and sharing new content on social media, with links to that website, will help you with both word-of-mouth marketing among people who like your show, and it will also improve your podcast’s SEO (search engine optimization). Improving both of these means more eyes on your shows feed, and potentially more listeners and subscribers.
