Does Shortwave make podcast websites?
Yes, we do! Every show on Shortwave automatically has a podcast player website as soon as it is created. This website is hosted on Shortwave and includes your show information, episodes, share links, and subscribe information. The website will by default be hosted on the domain podcasts.goshortwave.com.
Read on to find out how to find, edit, and customize your podcast website.
How do I find my podcast’s website URL?
Your podcast’s website URL and Shortwave player page URL can both be found on your podcast’s summary page in the Shortwave dashboard. Your podcast player page is always available by default, and your external website, if you have included one, can be updated and edited by editing your podcast’s settings.
Similarly, you can find both episode websites and episode player pages on the episode’s individual summary pages. They can be edited and shared in the same way. Your website may be on its own domain, but all Shortwave-hosted podcast player websites can always be found starting with the domain podcasts.goshortwave.com.
How do I embed links to my podcast on my own website?
If you are using a Shortwave-hosted site, then you already have links to listen to your podcast on each episode’s page. Sharing a link to this player page is a great way to drive traffic to your podcast, and give users a one-stop-shop to listen to episodes, read show notes, find your social media accounts, and subscribe to your show.
You may also want to embed a podcast episode player on your website. Embedding podcast players on your external website is a great idea. It lets users listen to your show without having to find it in a podcater app like Apple Podcasts. You can learn about Shortwave’s embeddable podcast players here: Embedding Your Podcast on a Website.
